The Fitness Room

The aerobics studio is a multipurpose room that can be used for aerobics, circuit training, zumba, yoga, stretching, or your own exercise program. The room has a television, DVD player, CD player, VCR, and a number of exercise related DVDs and CDs allowing you to create your preferred exercise experience. There are yoga mats and blocks, exercise balls, small free weights, Spin Bikes, Bosu Balance Trainers and steps that can be incorporated into your workout. Weight room/aerobics room rules and regulations
· Demonstrate courtesy, respect and politeness at all times.
· Do not place your personal belongings onto the weight room/aerobics room floor.
· Refrain from yelling, using profanity, dropping weights, banging weights and making loud sounds.
· Proper gym attire is required. Club users must wear appropriate attire inclusive of shirt or top, shorts and /or pants, and appropriate shoes. No street shoes in the aerobics room.
· Do not lock doors.
· Do not sit on machines between sets. Allow others to “work-in” between sets.
· Re-rack weights and return all other equipment and accessories to their proper locations. Not everyone can lift the 45 lb weights safely...
· Wipe down all equipment, and the area around the equipment if needed, after use. GymWipes are provided.
· Beverages consumed during a workout should be in a closed, non-breakable container. Please wipe up spills immediately. No food is allowed except in the lobby area.
· Do not lay down directly on the floor. Lay down on a mat. Wipe down the mat after use.
· Do not disturb others. Focus on your own workout and allow others to do the same.
· Before beginning your workout, wash your hands and wipe off any cologne or perfume.
· Keep your cell phone on vibrate; if a call comes in step away from the weight room/aerobics room floor so as not to disturb others with your conversation.
· Listening to music on cell phones, CDs and/or radio without the use of headphones is allowed on the weight room floor as long as doing so does not cause disruptions to others working out.
· Please follow posted signs about opening windows. If you open a window in the weight room/aerobics room during a workout, close that window after you have completed your workout.
· Please report any machine malfunction, injury, unsafe condition or problem immediately to the front desk.
· Turn off the TV if you are the last one to leave the room.
· Plan your workout so that you are ready to leave at closing time. Do not keep staff here past closing.
· Only approved personal trainers are allowed to train members at Club America WMV.
